On 6th March, we celebrated World Book Day. Our boys and girls dressed up as their favourite characters from their favourite story books. We are big advocates of reading here in St. Martins because reading to children is one of the most important things a parent, caregiver or teacher can do to support a child's development. It impacts so many areas of their growth, from language development to emotional intelligence. We were so impressed with the effort the children went to to mark the day, although I’m not quite sure who was more excited to be dressing up...the children or the staff!
