We finished this term on a high by celebrating Active Week! Ms. Coffey and her Active Week Committee pulled out all the stops to organise a very fun week for our boys and girls. They also managed to ensure the weather played ball...is there anything they can’t do?!
We had a Twirlers demo, kickboxing, football, badminton, athletics, ballroom dancing, skipping and rugby. PE lessons were done outside in the sunshine and our pupils ran a ‘K a Day’. The children in our autism classes had a visit from Lee Moroney from CoachApproach for some fun fitness activities.
We also had a whole school daily ‘Drop Everything and Dance’. Some of our staff even got on board by having their own daily steps challenge. Well done to everyone for their involvement and enthusiasm and a very special thank you to staff members who lent their skills and the Active School Committee for their hard work organising it all.
