This week the school were concentrating on Maths Week with maths trails being held in all different classes and a visit from a Mathemagician.
Ms. Delaney’s class, junior infants, took park in a junior maths trail this week as part of Maths Week 2019. The children worked in their groups to fill out a form with maths related questions in a certain area of the school. The children searched classrooms, the staff room and even the front porch for colours, shapes, corners and counted how many windows and doors they could see. Our leaders filled in the information for each group and wore a special HI VIS jacket so we wouldn’t lose them! Great fun had by all whilst improving our maths and investigative skills!
