Fairwell, 6th Class

Saying goodbye is never easy and this time of the school year is often bittersweet. On one hand, we are excited for our 6th Class pupils and the new adventure that awaits them in secondary school, but on the other hand, we are so very sad to see them go. Our Sixth Class pupils have been important members of our school community for the past eight years and they have achieved wonderful things in their time here. I would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best for the future. I know you will all go on to achieve great things. We will miss you all!

Subh Milis – Séamus Ó Néill

Bhí subh mhilis There was jam

Ar bhaschrann an dorais On the doorhandle

Ach mhuch mé an corraí But I suppressed the anger

Ionam a d’éirigh, That arose in me

Mar smaoinigh mé ar an lá Because I thought of the day

Nuair a bheas an bhaschrann glan, When the doorhandle would be clean

Agus an lámh bheag And the little hand

Ar iarraidh. Gone.
